I do believe the Spartans will win most of their contests this year…

One of the biggest concerns for this year is that we play Furman University, from beautiful Greenville South Carolina, then a BYE week, and then travel to Notre Dame. To me, that means effectively Game 1 is at Notre Dame.
Not that I expect my beloved Spartans to look past Furman, but it isn’t exactly a perfect tune up game before a bye week, then an away game to a hostile stadium with TouchDown Jesus.
The Big Ten scheduling Gods suck.
Prior to playing MSU, the Irish play at Texas (Long Horns) and home against Nevada (Wolf Pack). The ND schedule plan is a better tune up for MSU.
Just look at how the teams stack up in the Jeff Sagarin ratings. There is a big difference between a 56 ranked school and a 182 ranked school.
Sagarin Ratings: (8/10/2016)
Notre Dame – 11
Spartans – 17
Texas – 56
Nevada – 100
Furman – 182
Bye Week – zero….
But, knowing Coach Dantonio and his history, he and the staff will do all they can to prepare the players for this contest. I am sure the practice team will be replicating ND’s play for a couple weeks, that should help.
As for the other loss, its with OSU.. Not clear it will be a loss, but this is the second best chance for a potential lose this season. The game is in Spartan Stadium, OSU is always a good contest, and they play a much more demanding schedule then the weasels from AnnArbor. It will be an exciting game.
MSU has a good team this year.
The Game by Game predictions start with Furman state in a couple days.
Sparty ON !!
