Yes, Spartan Nation, it was a beautiful day for football. The Oakland Raiders have a Bye-Week so MSU Greats, Connor Cook and Shilique Calhoun, visited Spartan Stadium to meet with players and coaches before the game. LJ Scott said the message was to, “Play with passion” and “Never give up.”

Spartymsu.com reports the highlights and “low-lights.” TOC passed for 3 touchdowns and 141 yards on 10-14 passing. The Spartan rushing game accounted for 277 yards led by LJ with 120, Gerald with 54, and Mondre with 54 and 2 touchdowns.
75 players got into the game for MSU. The future is bright. One fan commented that “MSU has some nice young wide-receivers.” Yes they do. Trishton Jackson caught a 50 yard TD pass from TOC. Donnie Corley had 2 receptions and ran the end around play for a nice gain.
MSU’s defense held Rutgers to 149 yards without registering a single sack which makes sense since Malik missed the game due to various injuries – just banged up- earlier in the season.
There are no low-lights from Saturday’s game. The longest MSU losing streak (34 years) is over. On the post-game celebration, Coach D said, “It’s a good feeling. You’d had thought we won the championship.”
Riley Bullough said, “It feels good to dance in the locker room again.” From the Rose Bowl, courtesy of YouTube.
